A bunch of architects who actually care about what we're building and why it matters.
Look, we started this studio back in 2012 because we were tired of seeing the same cookie-cutter buildings pop up everywhere. Vancouver's an incredible city, and it deserves better than that.
What began as three friends sketching ideas on napkins at a Gastown cafe has grown into a team of 15 passionate folks who genuinely love what they do. We've worked on everything from tiny laneway houses to massive commercial developments, and honestly? The small projects excite us just as much as the big ones.
We're not gonna pretend we've got all the answers, but we're learning every day. Sustainable design isn't just a checkbox for us - it's literally how we approach every single project. Because what's the point of building something beautiful if it's gonna cost the earth to maintain?
The people behind the blueprints
Founding Principal & Lead Architect
Been in this game for 18 years, and I still get excited about every new project. Studied at UBC and spent some time in Copenhagen learning from the Scandinavians (they really know their stuff when it comes to sustainable design).
When I'm not sketching or arguing about window placements, you'll find me hiking the North Shore trails or obsessing over my sourdough starter.
Co-Founder & Urban Planning Director
My background's in urban planning and landscape architecture, which basically means I'm always thinking about how buildings fit into the bigger picture. Worked with the City of Vancouver for five years before jumping ship to start this studio.
I'm the one who's constantly talking about walkability, green corridors, and how we can make cities work better for actual people. Also a bit of a bike nerd - you've been warned.
Senior Architect
Specializes in residential projects and heritage restorations. She's got this amazing ability to balance old-world charm with modern functionality. Been with us for 7 years and honestly can't imagine the team without her.
Sustainability Consultant
Our environmental conscience. James makes sure we're not just talking the talk - he runs the numbers, researches materials, and keeps us honest about our sustainability claims. Former engineer who saw the light.
Interior Design Lead
Takes our architectural shells and makes them feel like actual spaces people wanna live in. Her attention to detail is borderline obsessive (in the best way). Always knows the perfect material or finish before anyone else.
Project Manager
Keeps the trains running on time. Great at dealing with contractors and somehow stays calm when everything's on fire.
Junior Architect
Fresh perspective and incredible 3D modeling skills. She's gonna be running her own firm someday, calling it now.
Technical Specialist
The guy who figures out if our crazy ideas are actually buildable. Has saved us from some seriously embarrassing mistakes.
Office Manager
Honestly the person who actually runs this place. Knows where everything is and somehow remembers everyone's coffee order.
We're not fans of the whole "architect as artist" ego trip. This is collaborative work - we listen more than we talk (at least we try to), and we believe the best ideas can come from anywhere.
Every project starts with questions, not answers. What do you actually need? How do you live or work? What matters to you? We've had clients bring us Pinterest boards, hand-drawn sketches, even just a feeling they're trying to capture. All of it's useful.
Our process is pretty iterative - lots of sketches, models, and conversations. We use the latest tech when it helps, but sometimes the best tool is still a pencil and trace paper. Whatever gets us to a solution that works.

We're always looking for talented people who care about doing good work. If you're passionate about sustainable design and wanna work somewhere that values both creativity and pragmatism, get in touch.
We offer competitive salaries, flexible work arrangements (yes, you can work from home sometimes), and a studio culture that's supportive rather than cutthroat. Plus, we've got a pretty decent coffee machine.
